The New England Conservatorium of Music is proud to launch our 2021 season of live music performances with a special concert on 20 April 2021 at the Armidale Teachers’ College by the acclaimed Australian Chamber Orchestra led by Artistic Director Richard Tognetti.

The Australian Chamber Orchestra will present two cornerstones of classical repertoire – Mendelssohn’s spectacular Violin Concerto – with Richard Tognetti himself performing the solo, followed by the much-loved Tchaikovsky Serenade for Strings.

The Sydney-based Australian Chamber Orchestra (ACO) is an ensemble of professional musicians led by Artistic Director Richard Tognetti AO who are known for their explosive performances that combine celebrated classics with innovative new music and commissions.

• The two special performances will be held on 20th April 2021, 5:30pm and 7:30pm at the Auditorium at the Armidale Teachers’ College.

• The 1-hour performances have been specially programmed for Armidale, designed with family audiences in mind, and also offering a 5:30pm performance for those who would prefer an earlier concert.

• With COVID safety a priority and venue restrictions in place, there are only limited tickets available.
