Bruce completed his under-graduate studies at the University of Sydney in 1998, completing a Bachelor of Music in trombone performance. He worked as a freelance trombonist and brass pedagogue in Sydney from 1993 – 2003 and moved to Armidale in 2004 to take up a position at Armidale Secondary College as a high school music teacher.
Bruce brings a wealth of experience to the position of brass tutor at NECOM and is a multi-instrumentalist, equally at home on any brass instrument.
