The Chamber Music in Schools piano trio visited three local outer regional schools on Friday 30 August. Deidre Rickards, Joanna Fairs-Wu and Sofia Debus delighted young students from St Joseph’s in Uralla, St Patrick’s in Walcha and Rocky River Primary School with their easy listening program of well known classical pieces. The concert also involved fun interactive activities with the students and quality question time.
At Rocky River Primary School the specialist primary music teacher, Helen Kirkaldy was able to be present to guide her students through the program notes and no doubt follow up on the visit with listening to the CD supplied and further discussion about the presentation.
