The new Foundation Double Bass Ensemble premiered their first performance at the Eisteddfod Sunday 27th May with a bang! This ensemble won the Bowed Instrument Open Section with the award generously sponsored by Armidale Rotary Clubs. The Ensemble has worked hard as beginners on the instruments and have come a long way technically on the instrument and showcased their blend and ensemble skills. Our budding bassists performed Canon and First Position Rag with the delightful accompaniment of Mr Dunham. The ensemble look forward to performing more throughout the year.
There are still places left in our Double Bass Program for any budding bassists! Ages 12 and above welcome!
