The Eisteddfod adjudicator, Michele Walsh, stayed on after the final session to provide individual lessons for our six HSC violin/viola students working towards their HSC performance programmes. All of the students had performed their pieces in the Eisteddfod as performance preparation and these lessons were invaluable in fine-tuning aspects of interpretation and technique ahead of their upcoming trial exams. Michele is one of Australia’s leading string teachers and is currently Head of Strings at the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University.
