The AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) has recognised NECOM as one of the top 10 music schools in NSW in both the Preliminary-Grade 4 and Grade 5-8 categories in 2019. This achievement is testament to the outstanding quality of teaching across all instrumental areas at NECOM.
Maree Lucus, NSW State Manager, awarded NECOM with two Certificates of Distinction in March, writing that NECOM teachers achieved top results in both categories and that:
