New England Singers performance with Fiori Musicali

The recent collaboration between Fiori Musicali and the New England Singers Chamber Choir was a great success. This was the first time that the two choirs had worked together to present a program of choral music. The theme for the concert was music from Scandinavia and the Baltic region, with works by Grieg, Sibelius, Arvo Part and more recent composers Eriks Esenvalds and Ola Gjeilo. The concert was held in the beautiful Chapel of the Angels where the acoustics really enhanced the sound of the two choirs. As part of the program, the NE Singers Chamber Choir presented one of their own pieces conducted by Jonathan Bruhl. Fiori Musicali is a well established Armidale chamber choir with a yearly series of concerts and it is hoped that further collaborations may be possible in the future. Many thanks go to Stuart Pavel the conductor of this concert and Leanne Roobol, the director of the NE Singers for putting together this wonderful program.
