WHAT DO YOU LOVE ABOUT WORKING AT NECOM?

The best thing about working at NECOM is working with other skilled, enthusiastic and hardworking teachers and performers.

YOUR EARLIEST MUSICAL MEMORY?

Playing violin (no doubt very badly) in a group of year 4 boys who were learning together!

WHAT IS ONE MEMORY THAT STANDS OUT AS A HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR CAREER SO FAR?

In 2009, my wife Louisa Sindel-Marshall performed my saxophone concerto with The Beecroft Orchestra, I was playing double bass in the orchestra.

IF YOU COULD ONLY KEEP ONE PIECE OF MUSIC IN YOUR COLLECTION, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

Whilst at Sydney Conservatorium the saxophone ensemble performed an arrangement of Leonard Bernstein’s Prelude, Fugue and Riffs written for Benny Goodman and his band and it has stuck with me ever since!
