The Mini Bass Program has kicked off to a great start with 8 brave new students learning not only how to play the Double Bass but learning how to pack it, carry it and move around it. The Mini Bass Ensemble has seen students learn the principles of bowing, plucking across a multitude of genres from classical, blues, jazz and salsa with the accompaniment skills and ensemble experience of Mr Warwick Dunham. These ensemble sessions have given students an overview of the anchoring role of Double Bass across genres and ensembles.
In solo instrumental lessons each student has shown an impressive development across repertoire and technically. Each lesson has been catered for the musical experience and interest of each student and through practice and fun we should enjoy a great Mini Bass concert at a later date.
