Piano Lessons From Term Two

Following an interview last week, the Conservatorium welcomes Sheila Guymer to its music staff. Sheila holds a Master of Music (Accompaniment / Chamber Performance) from the Sydney Conservatorium, Master of Music Studies (Piano Pedagogy) from The University of Melbourne, and a Bachelor of Music (1st Class Honours) from The University of Queensland. More recently, Sheila has completed a PhD in elite piano performance from the University of Cambridge in the UK, and has presented recitals and conference papers internationally. Sheila joins the NECOM team with a wealth of experience in Accompaniment and Chamber Music, and has a passion for teaching young musicians from beginner level right up to Masters level performance.

NECOM has limited vacancies in its Piano Program which commenced in October last year. Please contact Nicky through [email protected] to secure a place for your child.

The Conservatorium acknowledges the work of Dr Brieley Cutting in helping establish NECOM’s first Piano Studio and wishes her well.
