New England Sings! is NECOM’s acclaimed, national award-winning choral showcase that brings together over 800 K-Year 12 choristers and an 80+orchestra from 25 New England regional schools to present two sensational concerts on Sunday 21 October at 11am and 2.30pm.
The concerts celebrate the love of singing and feature many well-known songs, in addition to premiering two commissioned works written specially for the Combined Primary Schools Choirs and for the Combined Secondary Choir and Orchestra. Many Australian composers and songs are featured, from new commissions by Dan Walker and Felix Riebl to John Farnham’s You’re The Voice, complete with bagpipers!
New England Sings! is an unmissable musical event, a testimony to the New England’s unique music and education community.
